Gaia's Garden Herbals Elecampagne Tincture is made with freshly dug, organically grown Elecampagne root tinctured in 100 proof vodka for several weeks, then strained. Elecampagne was one of the first herbs I planted in my garden and it has thrived and spread vigorously. Traditionally used for chronic bronchitis, brochial asthma, and other respiratory problems, it is expectorant, soothing, mildly bitter, and antiseptic. One of the reasons I planted Elecampagne was because I had a cough for a very long time that just hung on. I had gotten so used to it, in fact, that I was no longer aware of it until a friend came up to me at a conference and remarked that he knew I was there because he recognized my cough. So I obtained a beautiful 2nd year elecampagne plant for the garden. Over the summer I hung out with the plant as it grew several feet tall with large, yellow flowers. And lo and behold, before I even dug some roots in the fall my cough disappeared! Despite what anyone might think, I know it was Elecampagne that healed me even without taking her internally. She is a powerful healer on all levels!
The generally recommended dose is 1 tsp. 3 times daily, however I'm not a doctor and can't prescribe anything, so how much you take and how often is up to you.
