Gaia's Garden Herbals Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) Tincture is made with fresh, organically grown lemon balm (aerial parts) harvested at peak, tinctured in 100 proof vodka. Size: 2 ounces.
Lemon Balm is one of my favorite relaxing herbs, and one of the first to come up in the spring. It's very presence makes my heart happy. It's delicious in teas, salads, and just to nibble on while in the garden. Lemon Balm is useful for anxiety, mild depression, restlessness, and nervousness, as well as cold sores. It is considered a digestive aid, and also has been given to those with an over-active thyroid. I find it generally uplifting and especially useful on stressful days.
General dose is 1/2 tsp. 3 times daily in water, but I'm not a doctor and can't prescribe or recommend anything.
