First, the chiles cut pain while muscle-healing Arnica and nerve-healing St John's Wort soothe the root of that pain. Licorice lends an anti-inflammatory aspect with its steroid-like compounds and Skullcap heads off twitches with its antispasmodic effects. Eucalyptus essential oil rounds out the relaxing, antispasmodic effects.
This salve is made with Chiltepins, a chile native to the Sonoran desert around Tucson. It is NOT made with capsaicin chile extract, which can be so powerful it burns on application. The infused oil in this salve is a whole-herb preparation which includes a spectrum of chile compounds.
Caution: Keep away from eyes and sensitive mucus membranes.
Ingredients: Wild-harvested Chiltepins, organic Arnica, organic St John's Wort, organic Licorice, organic Skullcap, olive oil, beeswax, and essential oil of Eucalyptus.
