POD CORN, rare ornamental SEED PACKET
Zea mais v. tunicata minimum 35 seeds
Pod Corn is a sacred, ancient, mysterious corn of many colors whose individual kernels are often covered by husks or glumes. The Quicha of Bolivia call it paca sara (hidden maize) and used the grains as a remedy for respiratory ailments. Recent genetic study supports the view that Pod Corn arose from a unique mutation after maize was domesticated.
Freshly packed for the 2013 season! For best results, sow these seeds before July 2014.
