Chickweed (Stellaria media)

This little garden lovely is packed full of nutrients, minerals and proteins.  The fresh tincture has been traditionally used for issues with the thyroid, swollen glands, reproductive cysts such as ovarian cysts, testicular issues such as swelling, burning and itching.

Chickweed is very cooling to the body helping with fevers, infections and inflammation.  It's moistening properties help sooth the lungs, sore throats and dry coughs.

This tincture was made with chickweed that ran wild in an organic garden on a beautiful island off the coast of Maine.

I tinctured this chickweed fresh in a mix of Organic Grape Alcohol and Spring Water.
